Mohali, Sept 22: Enforcement Directorate teams accompanied by CRPF personnel carried out a search operation at the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority office, sealing three floors and confiscating official records related to land allocations. The central agency seized documents linked to the Remigate case and several matters involving alleged irregularities in Change of Land Use permissions granted to private developers.
Central officials questioned senior GMADA authorities, including the Estate Officer, Additional Chief Administrator, and Chief Engineer, who were assembled in the Housing Secretary’s office. Investigators confiscated official mobile phones as part of the procedure while examining files concerning land acquisitions, property auctions, and benefits allegedly extended to private realtors.
Officials stated that the probe focuses on potential procedural deviations and financial improprieties in development permissions. Sources indicated that certain officials may be taken into custody for further detailed interrogation as the investigation progresses.
