Chandigarh/Amritsar, December 25: Farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal’s hunger strike entered its 30th day as protests intensified for the implementation of farmers’ demands.

Calling Dallewal a “diamond of the farmers,” leaders underlined his dedication to the farming community and urged the central government to meet their demands promptly.

Among their primary concerns is a legal guarantee for minimum support price (MSP) on crops, along with 12 other demands.

The farmers have organized trucks and rations for those gathered at Khanauri. Protesters accused the government of oppressing the farming community, leaving them with no choice but to take a stand.

Leaders stated that if their demands are addressed, farmers will peacefully return to their homes.

Dallewal’s prolonged hunger strike highlights the growing frustration among farmers over unresolved issues with the government. As his condition becomes critical, pressure on the central government to act continues to build.
