Mohali, January 2, 2025: Punjab Milkfed President Narinder Singh Shergill announced that the state government is upgrading Verka outlets and modernizing infrastructure outside the 10 major Verka milk plants.
Speaking at a religious ceremony held at Verka Milk Plant Mohali to mark the new year, Shergill stated that Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema has approved the plan to enhance Verka product outlets alongside the modernization of milk plants across the state.
The Mohali Verka Plant is undergoing an expansion worth Rs 325 crore to boost its production capacity.
Prior projects included the modernization of Verka plants in Amritsar and Jalandhar, completed at a cost exceeding Rs 80 crore.
Besides, both Milkfed feed plants are undergoing infrastructure upgrades.
Milkfed Managing Director Rahul Gupta accompanied Shergill during the announcement.
