Chandigarh, 12 December 2024 – Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh, currently in the spotlight for his Dil-Luminati tour, has received an advisory from the Child Rights Protection Commission ahead of his Chandigarh concert on December 14. The advisory outlines key restrictions aimed at safeguarding children and promoting responsible conduct during the event.

The Commission has raised three major concerns:

Sound Levels: Citing a World Health Organization report, it advised against exposing children to sound levels above 120 decibels and adults to levels above 140 decibels. The advisory discourages inviting children on stage during live shows.

Song Selection: Songs like Patiala Peg, 5 Tara, and Kes, known for promoting themes of alcohol, drugs, and violence, have been restricted. Even distorted versions of these songs are not permitted, as they may negatively influence children.

Alcohol Regulations: The event management has been instructed to strictly avoid serving alcohol to individuals under 25, as per the Juvenile Justice Act and related laws.

The advisory comes in response to concerns raised by Associate Professor Pandit Dharenwar. Organizers and Diljit Dosanjh are expected to comply with the guidelines to ensure a safe and family-friendly concert environment.
