Prayagraj, Sept 15: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath declared a annual cashless medical insurance cover of up to ₹5 lakh for active advocates across Uttar Pradesh during a felicitation ceremony organized by the High Court Bar Association in Prayagraj. State leadership maintained that building a future-ready Bar remains essential to laying a strong foundation for a modern, accessible justice system.
The state administration pledged government assistance for furniture and essential equipment across more than 10,000 advocate chambers, alongside handing over tablets to 400 State Law Officers whose legal fees have been hiked by over 50 percent. Officials affirmed that the Advocate Welfare Fund has been increased from ₹1.5 lakh to ₹5 lakh, while raising the eligibility age limit for financial assistance upon an advocate’s death from 60 to 70 years.
Highlighting infrastructure developments, state authorities maintained that trial court facilities have transformed significantly, shifting 10 district courts out of temporary rented spaces into modern setups, including ₹700 crore dedicated legal chambers in Prayagraj. Government representatives declared that police training capacities have been expanded, courtrooms linked via digital networks, and Integrated Court Complexes launched across districts to streamline judicial proceedings and protect public trust.
