Cold to Intensify in Haryana as Temperatures Drop

Haryana – December 1, 2024: The state of Haryana is set to experience a further drop in temperatures as the cold weather intensifies. In the last 24 hours, the daytime temperature has decreased by an average of 0.5°C, with the lowest temperature recorded at 23.5°C in Rohtak and the highest at 28.1°C in Sirsa.

As a result, the day temperatures across the state have now returned to the normal range.

Meanwhile, the night temperature has increased slightly by 0.6°C, with Hisar recording the lowest temperature of 8°C. This marks the onset of a colder phase, with more significant temperature drops expected in the coming days.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has not issued any fog warning for Haryana. However, areas including Ambala, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Karnal, Panipat, Sonepat, Jind, Mahendragarh, Sirsa, Hisar, Rohtak, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Jhajjar, Rewari, Gurugram, and Faridabad are likely to experience light fog in the morning and evening hours.

The weather department has predicted that the night temperature will continue to drop on December 2, as cloud cover is expected to build over the region, further chilling the nights.

Residents are advised to take necessary precautions against the cold, particularly during the early morning and late evening hours.
