Congress Accuses BJP Of Kalka Drug Menace

Kalka: As BJP candidate Shakti Rani Sharma promises to make Kalka drug-free and crime-free, her opponent from Congress and current MLA, Pradeep Chaudhary, accused the BJP of allowing the drug issue to worsen in the area.

While campaigning in Pinjore, Chaudhary conducted door-to-door visits to gather votes, asserting that the BJP has contributed to the rise of drug addiction in Kalka.

Chaudhary stated, “Under 10 years of BJP governance, drug addiction has surged significantly, becoming a major issue in our constituency.” He criticized the BJP for suddenly claiming they can stop drug addiction, stressing that many young people are dying due to substance abuse while the government has failed to take action against it.

During his campaign across various parts of Kalka, Chaudhary also condemned the BJP’s decade-long rule in Haryana, underlining unfinished infrastructure projects like the Sukhomajri bypass, which has led to traffic congestion affecting local businesses in Pinjore.

He pointed out that residents lack access to clean drinking water and that many youths are unemployed.
