LUDHIANA, APRIL 18 — The Sarabha Nagar police have booked Canada-based gangster Arsh Dalla for allegedly issuing death threats to two NRI brothers who recently returned to India. The victim, Takdeer Singh of Barewal Awana, reported that the designated terrorist targeted his family through social media and direct communication, warning of lethal consequences.
According to the complaint, the intimidation began when Arsh Dalla went live on Facebook to issue public threats against the family. This was reportedly followed by a WhatsApp call from an international number. Investigating officer Inspector Vijay Kumar stated that, on the basis of the complaint filed by Takdeer Singh, an FIR has been registered against Arsh Dalla.
The victim asserted that in a phone conversation lasting over a minute, the caller declared he would have the entire family killed. Officials noted that a detailed investigation into the entire matter has been taken up following the NRI’s complaint to ensure the safety of the returnees and their relatives.
Arsh Dalla, identified by authorities as a member of the Khalistan Tiger Force with ties to the International Sikh Youth Federation, is currently designated as a terrorist under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. Police records indicate he faces more than 90 criminal cases involving targeted killings and extortion. Authorities maintained that they are examining the digital footprints of the communications as part of the ongoing probe into the cross-border threat.
