Govinda Alleges Bollywood Conspired Against Him

Mumbai, March 9 — Bollywood actor Govinda claimed that the film industry conspired to push him out, leading to a period of struggle and defamation. In a conversation with Mukesh Khanna on his YouTube channel Bheeshm International, Govinda said he was deliberately sidelined despite turning down film offers worth ₹100 crore.

“When people said I was out of work, I had actually rejected films worth ₹100 crore. I would look in the mirror and slap myself for refusing that money,” he said.

However, he defended his choices, adding, “One should always listen to their heart and do what feels right. Being honest with oneself is most important.”

Claims of Conspiracy and Threats
Govinda alleged that his downfall was orchestrated, which ultimately led him to enter politics. “I went through a pre-planned defamation phase. They wanted me out of the industry,” he claimed.

According to him, insiders viewed him as an “uneducated outsider” who had intruded into their space.

He further alleged that the situation escalated beyond professional setbacks. “When conspiracies against me began, so did attempts on my life. People with guns were caught outside my house. Different methods were devised to eliminate me,” he stated. The experience, he said, changed his outlook on life and politics.

Govinda’s last film, Rangeela Raja (2019), directed by Sikander Bharti and produced by Pahlaj Nihalani, failed at the box office. During his appearance on The Great Indian Kapil Show last year, he mentioned having three projects in the pipeline.

Meanwhile, on the personal front, the actor recently made headlines over divorce rumors. While neither Govinda nor his wife, Sunita Ahuja, commented publicly, their lawyer confirmed that Sunita had filed for divorce six months ago but the couple has since reconciled.
