Gunmen Target Property Dealer’s Office in Rajpura

Eight rounds fired by masked assailants on Rajpura-Patiala Road; no injuries reported

Rajpura, June 26: Two masked assailants opened fire at a property dealer’s office near the underbridge on the Rajpura-Patiala Road on Friday. Despite multiple shots being fired inside the commercial premises, no casualties or injuries were reported during the daytime incident.

According to law enforcement authorities, the perpetrators arrived at the scene riding an Activa scooter. One of the suspects entered the office of Laxmi Property Dealer to locate the owner, Ramesh Pahuja, before discharging approximately eight rounds from a revolver and fleeing the area with his accomplice.

Senior police officials, including Rajpura City SHO Gursewak Singh and Patiala SHO Pradeep Bajwa, arrived at the spot immediately after the alarm was raised to secure the area. “After a woman employee informed him that Pahuja was not present, the man allegedly pulled out a revolver and opened fire before escaping with his accomplice,” an eyewitness stated regarding the sequence of events.

A comprehensive investigation has been initiated to determine the motive behind the targeted shooting. Special police teams are currently gathering forensic evidence from the crime scene and scanning local closed-circuit television footage to identify the suspects and establish their route of escape.
