Kyiv, August 4: Cross-border military engagements over the past two days resulted in 22 total fatalities across Ukraine and Russia as shelling and drone activity intensified.
The combined casualties reflect 11 recorded deaths on Ukrainian soil and 11 across Russian regions and Russian-controlled territories.
Confirming local impact details, Krasnodar Governor Veniamin Kondratyev asserted, “Seven people, including three children, were killed and nearly 40 wounded when drone debris fell on the resort village of Arkhipo-Osipovka near Gelendzhik”.
Regional official Sergey Aksyonov stated that four additional fatalities were recorded across border communities in the Crimean region following incoming strikes.
Across the border in Ukraine, Russian forces targeted fuel infrastructure in the Kryvyi Rih district, causing a blaze that killed an emergency response worker, his minor child, and another civilian. Regional Governor Oleksandr Hanzha noted that eight additional deaths occurred overnight in Zaporizhzhia, among them two young children.
Addressing front-line troop movements, representatives from the Russian Ministry of Defence declared that military forces captured the villages of Bilyi Kolodiaz and Uspenivka located in the eastern Kharkiv sector.
