New Delhi, 11 December 2024:Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal has put an end to speculation about a potential alliance with Congress for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections in 2025. Kejriwal confirmed that AAP would contest the elections independently, dismissing any possibility of collaboration with Congress.

Responding to claims of alliance talks, Kejriwal stated, “Aam Aadmi Party will fight this election in Delhi on its own. There is no possibility of an alliance with Congress.”

Backing his statement, AAP leaders reiterated the party’s stance. MP Sanjay Singh emphasized, “There is no alliance with Congress,” while MP Raghav Chadha asserted that AAP would rely on its organizational strength.

Earlier, reports suggested discussions of seat-sharing within the INDIA bloc, with Congress reportedly offered 15 seats and other bloc members 1-2 seats. However, these claims have now been refuted.

AAP has already announced candidates for 31 constituencies, releasing two lists covering 11 and 20 seats, respectively. The Delhi Assembly elections are scheduled for 2025.
