Ludhiana: A man allegedly died by suicide, prompting the Dehlon police to register a case under Section 108 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against three individuals, including his wife Sandeep Kaur, and her in-laws Gurtej Singh and Amarjit Singh, based on a complaint from Baljit Kaur, the sister of the deceased.
Baljit alleged that her brother, 41-year-old Daljit Singh, faced immense pressure from his wife Sandeep and her brothers to sell his land and hand over the proceeds.
“Overwhelmed by stress, Daljit tragically took his own life by consuming a poisonous substance on September 27,” she said.
As of now, the suspects have not yet been arrested in connection with the case.
