Phagwara: Panic spread through Chapar Colony in the Basant Nagar area of Phagwara after three unidentified masked individuals allegedly threw petrol-filled bottles at a residential property during the early hours of September 19. The incident occurred around 3 am within the jurisdiction of Satnampura Police Station in Kapurthala district. According to local reports, three individuals arrived on a motorcycle with their faces covered, hurled the improvised explosive bottles toward the building, and fled the location.
Resident Ravi Kumar stated that family members were present inside the home when the strike took place, though no injuries were reported from the scene. He further maintained that while police authorities were alerted shortly after the incident, law enforcement officers reached the spot later in the day on September 19. He urged police officials to conduct a thorough investigation to identify the perpetrators.
The attack has heightened safety concerns among Chapar Colony residents, who claimed they had previously informed local police regarding suspicious movements of unidentified individuals in the neighborhood. Community members appealed for prompt police action, identification of the suspects through available physical evidence, and enhanced patrolling across the locality to prevent further security lapses.
