Noida, June 15: Commercial operations at the highly anticipated Noida International Airport in Jewar are scheduled to begin on Monday, marking a significant milestone in the infrastructure expansion plan championed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The launch carrier, IndiGo Airlines, will operate the inaugural flights connecting Lucknow, Noida, and Bengaluru. The scheduled operations signify the opening of a major aviation and logistics gateway for Western Uttar Pradesh, the Delhi-NCR region, and neighboring states.

The initial flight, 6E-2278, is scheduled to depart from Lucknow at 7:05 AM and land at Noida International Airport at 8:05 AM. Following its arrival, the same aircraft is set to leave Noida at 8:35 AM for Bengaluru, reaching its destination at 11:05 AM.

The return leg of the journey, designated as flight 6E-2279, will depart Bengaluru at 3:45 PM, touching down in Noida at 6:20 PM. The aircraft will then make its final departure from Noida at 6:55 PM, arriving back in Lucknow at 8:00 PM.

Officials affirmed that this project reflects the ongoing shift in the state’s economic and industrial landscape. The new hub is designed to complement existing expressways, metro networks, data centers, and the Defence Corridor, all of which form part of a broader development model aimed at establishing the region as a prominent trading and logistics center.

IndiGo representatives declared that the airline intends to expand its network from the facility, with plans to connect Noida International Airport to more than 16 major cities across the country in a phased manner over the coming months.
