Chandigarh, November 5, 2024: Preparations are in full swing for the upcoming general elections of the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (HSGPC).
A total of 40 wards have been designated for the election, with nearly 284,000 Sikhs registering in the voter list, according to Haryana Gurdwara Election Commissioner, Justice H.S. Bhalla.
Justice Bhalla noted that any eligible individuals who have yet to register as voters can still do so. Applications for inclusion in the electoral roll can be submitted to the designated Returning Officer of each ward until the official election schedule is announced.
Once the election schedule is issued, applications can be directed to the relevant Deputy Commissioner’s office until the election process concludes.
The election for the HSGPC is expected to take place in January 2025, with the specific date to be announced alongside the release of the official election schedule
