Chandigarh/ New Delhi, December 7, 2024 — The Central Government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved the construction of the Rithala-Kundli-Nathupur Metro Corridor.
This key project aims to enhance connectivity within Delhi-NCR and is expected to be completed in four years at a cost of ₹6,230 crore.
The 26.463 km-long corridor will extend from Rithala, Bawana, and Narela in Delhi to Nathupur in Kundli, Haryana. It will serve as an extension of the existing Red Line (Rithala-New Bus Stand Ghaziabad), enabling seamless metro travel from Ghaziabad’s Shaheed Sthal in Uttar Pradesh to Kundli-Nathupur in Haryana.
This development is expected to significantly improve transportation infrastructure in the NCR region, offering relief to commuters by reducing travel time and improving connectivity between Delhi and neighbouring states.
