CHANDIGARH, March 8– The Punjab government is set to auction land and properties worth ₹2,000 crore in 13 towns, including Mohali, New Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Amritsar, and Patiala.
The Punjab Urban Development Authority (PUDA) and other state development authorities will conduct the e-auction from March 12 to March 22.
Available properties include residential, commercial, and institutional sites, along with group housing plots, school sites, and commercial spaces such as SCOs, SCFs, and booths.
Officials from the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) stated that successful bidders would secure site allotment by paying only 10% of the final bid amount. Possession would be granted after they deposit 25% of the bidding amount.
This marks the third major auction in recent months, following similar auctions in September and October 2024, where properties worth over ₹2,000 crore were sold.
