Panchkula, Oct 31: A shocking incident of violence unfolded at a government school in Panchkula, where a six-year-old Kindergarten student was allegedly brutally assaulted by a Class 3 student. The victim’s family reported that the young girl was lured to the first floor under the pretext that her father was calling for her, where she was subsequently struck with a stone, hit with a flower pot, and dragged across the floor, leaving her severely injured and unconscious.
The victim’s uncle stated that when relatives arrived at the school searching for the missing girl, it was the accused third-grade student who led them directly to where she lay unconscious. Speaking to media outlets, the family expressed deep dismay over administrative negligence, emphasizing that school staff and management must ensure proper safety protocols so parents can send their children to educational institutions without fear.
The family further questioned the effectiveness of the school’s surveillance system, pointing out that the assault went unnoticed despite CCTV cameras being monitored directly from the principal’s office. Relatives maintained that both government and private schools must be held accountable for maintaining strict vigil on campus grounds to prevent such severe safety breaches.
