Explosive Start by Jaiswal and Suryavanshi
Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Suryavanshi gave an excellent start to their team. The 23-year-old Jaiswal set the tone with a six off the first ball against Bhuvneshwar Kumar. The duo shared a 52-run partnership for the opening wicket before Suryavanshi, aged 14, was bowled by Bhuvneshwar. Jaiswal played a blistering knock of 49 runs off 19 balls, smashing seven fours and three sixes, before falling just one run short of his half-century.
Middle-Order Contributions by Rana and Parag
Nitish Rana and Riyan Parag came in at number three and added a 38-run partnership for the third wicket. However, both fell victim to Krunal Pandya. Rana scored 28 runs, and Parag contributed 22 runs to the team’s total.
Jurel’s Fighting Knock
Apart from Jaiswal, Dhruv Jurel displayed resilience with an impressive 47 runs, which included three fours and three sixes. Unfortunately, he could not guide his team to victory and was dismissed before the finish.
Lower-Order Struggles
Shubham Dubey scored 12 runs, while Jofra Archer went for a duck. Wanindu Hasaranga was run out after scoring just one run. Tushar Deshpande and Fazalhaq Farooqui remained unbeaten with one and two runs, respectively.
