Mohali, Sept 27: Punjabi singer and actor Rajvir Jawanda was admitted to Fortis Hospital in Mohali on September 27 following a serious and severe road accident that took place earlier in Himachal Pradesh, according to hospital authorities.
He sustained significant injuries to his head and spine during the accident, which left him in a critical state and necessitated urgent medical attention, they said.
Initially, Jawanda was taken to a nearby Civil Hospital, where doctors attended to him after he suffered a cardiac arrest.
Given the gravity of his condition and the seriousness of his injuries, he was immediately referred and transferred to Fortis Hospital in Mohali for specialized treatment and advanced medical care.
Upon his arrival at Fortis Hospital at 1:45 pm, the hospital’s Emergency and Neurosurgery teams promptly assessed his condition, reads the statement by the hospital.
Detailed and thorough examinations, along with comprehensive medical investigations, were conducted to evaluate the extent of his injuries, it said.
Following these assessments, he was placed on advanced life support to stabilize his critical condition.
At present, Rajvir Jawanda remains on ventilator support and continues to be under close observation and intensive monitoring by a dedicated team of medical professionals, as his condition continues to be described as critical.
