Patna, July 4: The Information Technology Department of the Government of Bihar hosted the Bihar IT Industry Meet 2026 in Bengaluru, drawing substantial interest from leading global technology companies, startups, and venture capital firms. The strategic initiative aimed to forge long-term partnerships and solidify the state’s position within India’s growing digital economy.
Information Technology Minister Nitish Mishra affirmed that the state focuses on building a vibrant technology ecosystem where innovation and young talent can thrive collectively. He declared that the Bihar IT Policy 2024 alongside the newly introduced Bihar Global Capability Centre Policy 2026 stand as landmark initiatives to attract large-scale investments and generate high-quality employment. The minister further noted that the administration is systematically working to establish the region as a leader in artificial intelligence, data centers, and electronics.
During the high-level event, Information Technology Secretary Abhay Kumar Singh held targeted one-to-one business meetings with senior executives from prominent global firms. Discussions with leaders from Quess Corp centered on skill development and employment generation, while separate dialogues with representatives from Adobe, Mercedes-Benz, XLR Partners, and Brandscapes Worldwide explored digital investments and research opportunities.
The secretary asserted that Bihar is rapidly emerging as a preferred investment destination, offering businesses an enabling ecosystem backed by a transparent governance framework. He maintained that the government remains fully committed to providing a competitive, business-friendly environment tailored to modern investor requirements.
Industry leaders from participating organizations, including Honeywell, Oracle, Salesforce, and Razorpay, expressed strong confidence in the state’s progressive technology policies. Attendees acknowledged the massive potential of the local youth talent pool and demonstrated a keen interest in exploring long-term collaborations, signaling that the region is successfully transitioning into a national destination for technology and innovation.
