Punjab Industry Minister Woos UAE Investors at Dubai Summit

Aman Arora assures seamless clearances, robust infrastructure, and complete support for global enterprises

Chandigarh: In a significant outreach to attract global capital and boost industrial development, Punjab Industries and Commerce Minister Aman Arora met with H.E. Abdulla Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Secretary General of the UAE International Investment Council, on the sidelines of the Annual Investment Meeting in Dubai to discuss investment opportunities in the state.

 

During the meeting, the Industry Minister highlighted Punjab’s vast economic potential and invited UAE investors to explore high-growth sectors through government, semi-government, and private sector partnerships. Mr Arora affirmed that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the state administration is keen to build long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships with UAE-based investors and institutional funds.

 

Reiterating the state’s commitment, Mr Arora assured the Council of complete administrative support, handholding, and logistical facilitation from the Punjab Government for global enterprises seeking to set up or expand operations. He pointed out that investor-centric reforms and the ease of doing business are streamlined through ‘Invest Punjab’, a unified single-window platform delivering prompt statutory approvals and clearances.

 

The UAE International Investment Council, which unites public and private entities to channel outward foreign direct investment, welcomed the state delegation’s proactive approach. Mr Arora declared that the engagement marks a significant milestone that will pave the way for deeper bilateral economic cooperation and substantial investment pipelines in Punjab.
