Shimla, Sept 12: The Himachal Pradesh High Court has ordered the transfer and posting of 15 judicial officers across various district courts and tribunals in a major administrative reshuffle. As part of the changes, Ajay Mehta, District and Sessions Judge (Forests), Shimla, has been posted as District and Sessions Judge, Sirmaur, at Nahan. Meanwhile, Madan Kumar, District and Sessions Judge Kinnaur at Rampur Bushahr, moves to Mandi as Principal Judge of the Family Court, replacing Aman Sood, who has been appointed District and Sessions Judge, Kangra, at Dharamsala.
State judicial administration officials affirmed that key swap transfers have also taken effect, with Naresh Kumar, District and Sessions Judge, Una, moving to Kullu, while Prakash Chand Rana, District and Sessions Judge, Kullu, takes charge at Una. Additionally, Rajesh Chauhan, Additional District and Sessions Judge-I, has been posted as District and Sessions Judge, Una, and Abira Basu, Additional District and Sessions Judge, Sarkaghat, assumes duties as District and Sessions Judge, Kinnaur.
The notification further highlighted that Praveen Chauhan, Presiding Officer of the Labour Court-cum-Industrial Tribunal, Kangra at Dharamsala, has been recalled and placed at the disposal of the state government to serve as Principal Secretary (Law) to the Government of Himachal Pradesh. Other reallocations include Gaurav Mahajan to Shimla, Kanta Verma to Kullu, Arvind Kumar to Mandi, Parveen Garg to Sarkaghat, Yajuvender Singh to Mandi, Vivek Khanal to Nahan, and Amit Mandyal to Kullu.
