Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced a large-scale recruitment initiative aiming to provide government jobs to one lakh youth over the next six months, with major distribution events scheduled weekly.
Speaking at Lok Bhawan during the distribution of appointment letters to 912 candidates in the UP Police Clerical Cadre Direct Recruitment-2023, the Chief Minister affirmed that selection processes across state departments remain strictly merit-based and transparent.
The newly inducted personnel include 173 women appointed to posts across Police Sub-Inspector (Confidential), Assistant Sub-Inspector (Clerical), and Assistant Sub-Inspector (Accounts) cadres. The Chief Minister maintained that systemic reforms introduced since 2017 eliminated nepotism, paper leak risks, and arbitrary candidate selection, restoring public trust in state examinations.
Addressing the state’s broader transformation, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath asserted that Uttar Pradesh transitioned from a deficit-ridden region into a revenue-surplus state. He noted that expanded law enforcement infrastructure, including enhanced training capacity for 60,000 personnel simultaneously and dedicated forensic facilities, helped establish a stable environment for investment and social order.
Director General of Police Rajeev Krishna confirmed that basic training for the new recruits will commence on October 6, followed by institutional and practical phases. He added that recruitment drives for approximately 35,000 additional positions and promotion processes for over 9,000 posts are currently underway.
