Panchkula, Oct 28: The District Town and Country Planning Department has executed a demolition drive targeting illegal colonies across Raipur and Tipra villages in Panchkula district. Machinery was deployed to dismantle unauthorised physical structures and laid-out road networks to prevent illegal land development in the belt.
The enforcement operation was directed by District Town Planner Babita Gupta under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Satpal Sharma. The team included Duty Magistrate Dimpy Rathi, Assistant Town Planner Ashok Kumar, departmental staff, and a dedicated police contingent.
During the drive in Raipur village, officials demolished two constructions at the damp-proof course stage alongside an internal road network. In Tipra village, crews used heavy machinery to pull down two boundary walls, additional foundation structures, ground site markings, and associated roads.
District Town Planner Babita Gupta declared that mandatory approvals from the Directorate of Town and Country Planning, Haryana, must be secured prior to any residential development. She affirmed that strict legal proceedings will be initiated against unauthorized developers and cautioned prospective buyers to verify valid licenses and land-use permissions before purchasing property.
