Lucknow, Oct 30: Union Home Minister Amit Shah laid out an early political roadmap for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, assuring that the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) will remain a primary promise for a third consecutive BJP administration in the state.
Addressing the state unit’s working committee meeting in Lucknow, Shah stated that multiple states have already adopted UCC measures, declaring that Uttar Pradesh stands next in line. He urged party workers to strengthen organizational outreach to secure public mandate for another term.
During the session, Shah challenged Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav over recent allegations regarding electoral process integrity. Home Ministry officials affirmed that the party’s cadre will focus heavily on highlighting state development schemes and grassroots governance achievements in the lead-up to the polls.
Senior state leaders and organizational representatives attended the conclave to outline district-level strategy sessions. Party leaders maintained that political momentum will be built through continuous public contact drives across all assembly segments.
