Chandigarh, 21 January 2025: A 30-year-old man was stabbed and robbed by four individuals riding a motorcycle near the Sector 25/38 light point on Saturday around 9 p.m., while he was running errands.
The victim, identified as Money Kumar, stated that the attackers blocked his path near the Sector 38 bus stop and demanded cash. Upon his refusal, three of them restrained him while the fourth stabbed him, inflicting injuries on his thigh and hand.
The group then fled the scene, taking Kumar’s mobile phone, wallet containing ₹200, and important documents.
Kumar managed to note down the motorcycle’s registration number and reported the incident to the police. “I can identify the attackers if presented before me,” he mentioned in his statement.
An FIR was registered under Sections 311 and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at the Sector 39 police station.
Authorities are working to trace the suspects as Kumar recovers from his injuries.
