New Delhi, November 21, 2024: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has kicked off its preparations for the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections with a crucial meeting of its Political Affairs Committee (PAC) today.
The PAC, the party’s highest decision-making body, discussed the names of potential candidates for the upcoming elections.
In line with this, AAP released its first list of 11 candidates. The selected candidates are:
Anil Jha from Chhatarpur
Brahma Singh from Kirari
Vishwas Nagar Deepak Singla
Sarita Singh from Lakshmi Nagar
Bibi Tyagi from Seelampur
Zubair Chaudhary from Badarpur
Ram Singh from Seemapuri
Veer Singh Dhingan from Ghonda
Gaurav Sharma from Tiala
Somesh Shokeen from Karawal Nagar
Manoj Tyagi from Nagar
The PAC also discussed various critical issues surrounding candidate selections for the 2025 Delhi elections, though the election dates are yet to be announced.
Despite its limited success outside Punjab in previous Vidhan Sabha elections, AAP is expected to engage in seat-sharing talks with the India Alliance for the upcoming elections. Currently, Atishi holds the charge of the Delhi government.
