Chandigarh, November 21, 2024: Farmers will march to Delhi on December 6 to press their demands, including a fair Minimum Support Price (MSP), Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee (KMSC) General Secretary Sarwan Singh Pandher announced today. In a video message, Pandher confirmed that farmers currently protesting at the Shambhu border (Punjab-Haryana border) will begin their march on that day.
A meeting will be held tomorrow at Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib in Delhi, where a draft will be prepared for the march. “The struggle will continue until our demands are met,” Pandher said.
The United Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) and KMSC will also convene a meeting in the afternoon to update the public on their future plans, marking the completion of 284 days of protest.
Reacting to the assembly elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand, Pandher criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), claiming the party will shift focus from religious issues in a bid to divide people for electoral gains.
Pandher also appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to address the ongoing violence in Manipur.
