Bhiwani, April 20: Chaudhary Bansi Lal University has confirmed that Chief Justice of India Surya Kant will serve as the chief guest for its upcoming fifth convocation on April 25. The visit marks a homecoming of sorts for the Chief Justice, who rose from the Hisar district bar to the pinnacle of the Indian judiciary in late 2025.

Prof. Deepti Dharmani, Vice Chancellor of CBLU, maintained that the event represents a moment of collective pride for the entire academic body. She stated that the administration is working at full capacity to finalize arrangements for the ceremony, which will be attended by Governor Prof. Aseem Kumar Ghosh in his capacity as University Chancellor.

“The convocation is a moment of collective pride for the university,” the Vice Chancellor asserted during a briefing with research scholars. She urged the university’s researchers to take a proactive role in the management of the event to uphold the institution’s reputation.

Justice Surya Kant, whose tenure extends until February 2027, has previously participated in various legal and academic forums in Hisar and Rohtak since his elevation. University officials affirmed that his journey from a local lawyer to the 53rd CJI provides a powerful narrative of professional excellence for the degree recipients.

In addition to convocation planning, the university is introducing new academic protocols. Dr. Deepak Kumar Aneja, PhD coordinator, noted that registration schedules for electronic data recording will be released soon. Authorities declared that these measures, along with new attendance policies, are part of a broader effort to modernize the university’s administrative framework.
