NEW DELHI, OCT 31: Pop icon Diljit Dosanjh launched his high-octane ‘Aura Tour’ in the national capital on Friday, performing to a packed house under tight security arrangements. Expressing gratitude to his audience, the artist maintained that he plans to continue his concert series across multiple Indian cities through December 20.

The performance followed initial operational hurdles, as local authorities had previously withheld permissions over festive season security management. The concert eventually received official approval after event organizers BookMyShow Live presented a comprehensive crowd, traffic, and security handling blueprint to satisfy regulatory requirements.

In a poignant segment during the evening, the singer invited a on-duty CRPF officer onto the stage to express appreciation for security personnel. Reflecting on the gesture, the artist affirmed that seeing the officer reminded him of maternal care, sharing that his own mother had advised him to stay safe during the tour.

Addressing recent commentary surrounding his artistic choices and public stance on political protests, the performer maintained a message of peace and resilience. He declared that Punjabis need no lessons in fighting for causes, citing his long-standing efforts to release the biographical film ‘Sutlej’, based on human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra, which faced significant regulatory delays before its brief digital release.

The singer asserted that despite facing criticism, his commitment remains focused on spread of music and goodwill. The nation-wide tour is scheduled to move forward with upcoming performances in Indore, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Lucknow, Chandigarh, and Kolkata in the coming weeks.
