Hyderabad, June 13: The Telangana Police dismantled an alleged international drug manufacturing network operating out of Hyderabad on Friday, arresting two suspects and recovering a substantial cache of illegal substances. The joint enforcement operation combined personnel from the Telangana Eagle Force, the Hyderabad Narcotics team, the Abdullahpurmet Police, and the LB Nagar Zone Clues Team. Raiding a site at Batasingaram in the Abdullapurmet mandal of Rangareddy district, officials seized 750 grams of mephedrone with an estimated street value of Rs 50 lakh, alongside specialized processing chemicals and production apparatus.

The arrested individuals were identified as Keesari Matsyagiri, a businessman from Suryapet district, and Nimmala Naresh, a resident of Yadadri-Bhongir district. Police officials stated that preliminary inquiries show Matsyagiri holds ties to a global drug syndicate and has spent the past decade engaging in criminal activities, including multiple past arrests and a prior prison term. In this latest operation, Matsyagiri allegedly rented a mango orchard from an individual named Ravula Mahesh under the false pretense of manufacturing cosmetic facial glow powder, hiring Mahesh as a watchman for a promised monthly salary of Rs 10,000.

The illicit operation relied on raw materials, chemicals, and equipment worth Rs 60,000, which investigators noted were bought from a supplier identified only as Prabhakar. The syndicate initially brewed small batches of raw mephedrone at the orchard, yielding roughly two kilograms of crude material that was subsequently refined into the final 750-gram contraband lot. Alongside the narcotics, the joint task force seized manufacturing machinery, raw chemicals, a vehicle, and three mobile phones. Law enforcement authorities declared that active search efforts are underway to track down and apprehend the remaining fugitive members of the syndicate.
