Chandigarh, 1 November 2024: Oil marketing companies have announced a fresh hike in commercial LPG prices, immediately raising the cost of a 19 kg cylinder by Rs 62, bringing the retail price to Rs 1,802 in Delhi. The adjustment also affects the 5 kg Free Trade LPG cylinder, now priced Rs 15 higher, though rates for the 14.2 kg domestic cylinder remain unchanged.
This price hike follows a similar increase earlier in the month, when the cost of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder rose by Rs 48.50, taking it from Rs 1,691.50 to Rs 1,740. “These adjustments reflect fluctuations in the market,” a company representative stated. During this period, the 5 kg Free Trade LPG cylinder also saw a Rs 12 increase.
Market rates have been trending upward, with a notable hike on September 1 that raised the retail price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi by Rs 39, setting it at Rs 1,691.50.
Despite the series of increases impacting commercial LPG, household consumers continue to see stable pricing for domestic LPG cylinders, providing a level of consistency for everyday users amid broader price shifts.
