NIA Expands Raids on Drug Smugglers

Chandigarh, 11 December 2024: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted extensive raids targeting drug smugglers and suspected links between gangsters and terrorists across Punjab and Haryana on Wednesday.

The operations began at 5 AM and continued until 10 AM, covering areas such as Bathinda, Mansa, and Dabwali near the Punjab-Haryana border.

In Punjab, raids focused on the houses of individuals suspected of connections to terrorist Arsh Dalla and drug networks.

In Bathinda, searches were conducted at the residences of Sandeep Singh Dhillon in Kotha Guru village, Bobby in Mor Mandi, and Amandeep on Malout Road Bypass. Amandeep, currently lodged in Nabha Jail, is under investigation for his involvement in drug smuggling.

In Mansa, the NIA is investigating the alleged ties of Vishal Singh, held in Patiala Jail, and former player Meshi Boxer with Arsh Dalla and other drug smugglers.

Simultaneously, operations extended to Dabwali in Haryana, further intensifying the crackdown on the nexus between gangsters, terrorists, and drug cartels in the region.
