Prakash Purab: Grand Celebrations at Holy Places

Amritsar, 15 November 2024: Thousands of devotees thronged Sri Harmandir Sahib today to mark the 555th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Pilgrims from across India and abroad began arriving early in the morning, taking a dip in the holy Sarovar before lining up for hours to pay their respects at the revered site.

To commemorate the Prakash Purab, several religious ceremonies have been planned at Sri Darbar Sahib.

The Bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib, initiated on November 13, was performed at Gurudwara Manji Sahib Diwan Hall this morning. Following the ceremony, from 8:30 a.m. to noon, sacred processions were held at Sri Harmandir Sahib, Sri Akal Takht Sahib, and Gurudwara Baba Attal Rai, allowing devotees to witness the grand decorations.

Pilgrims expressed gratitude, considering it a blessing to visit the holy shrine on this auspicious occasion.
