Uri, Apr 23: Army on Wednesday said that an inflitration bid was foiled along Line of Control (LoC) at Uri in North Kashmir’s Baramulla District.
Army’s Srinagar-based Chinar Corps said: “The alert troops of the Indian Army foiled an infiltration attempt by approximately 2-3 unidentified terrorists in the general area of Sarjeevan near Uri Nala, Baramulla district, earlier today.”
“The infiltration attempt was detected along the Line of Control (LoC), where vigilant troops challenged the terrorists, leading to a brief but intense exchange of fire.
The operation is currently in progress, with security forces maintaining a tight cordon around the area to neutralize the infiltrators,” the post read—(KNO)
