BJP to Retain Nayab Singh Saini as Haryana CM

Chandigarh: Nayab Singh Saini will continue as Haryana’s Chief Minister, according to BJP leaders, dispelling speculation about his effectiveness.

The BJP is on track to secure a historic third term in the state, leading in 49 out of 90 assembly seats, while the Congress trails with only 36 seats.

Despite previous concerns regarding Saini’s relatively short tenure and the caste dynamics in Haryana, BJP leadership confirmed that he would retain his position if the party emerged victorious.

Saini, a member of the Other Backward Classes (OBC), has faced scrutiny in a state historically dominated by Jat leaders. Saini was appointed as Chief Minister approximately 200 days before the election as part of a strategic reshuffle aimed at countering anti-incumbency sentiments.

His predecessor, Manohar Lal Khattar, was shifted to contest in the Lok Sabha elections and later elevated to a Union Minister role.
