Government Coordination with Centre Intensifies to Ensure Safe Return of Stranded Punjabis

Chandigarh, March 2: Amid the escalating conflict in the Middle East, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Monday announced the establishment of a dedicated 24/7 helpline to provide immediate assistance to Punjabis stranded in the region. The Chief Minister affirmed that the state government is maintaining constant coordination with the Ministry of External Affairs to facilitate the safe and expeditious return of all affected citizens, including students and professionals.

In a statement, the Chief Minister declared that the state administration has set up a specialized control room to address the concerns of stranded individuals and their families without delay. “The Punjab government stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the families of our youth and students stuck in these Gulf countries. We are committed to providing all necessary help and cooperation,” Mann asserted. He maintained that the state is ready to extend full support to the Union Government to expedite evacuation efforts.
