New Delhi, March 5: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday advocated for a swift end to ongoing global hostilities, asserting that military confrontation cannot provide lasting solutions to international issues. The Prime Minister made these remarks following extensive discussions with Finnish President Alexander Stubb during the latter’s four-day visit to India.

The two leaders reached a consensus on the importance of the rule of law and dialogue in addressing crises in Ukraine and West Asia. Mr. Modi stated that both nations remain committed to supporting peace efforts and diplomatic channels to resolve regional tensions.

“India and Finland, both, believe in the rule of law, dialogue, and diplomacy. We are in agreement that no issue can be resolved through military conflict alone,” the Prime Minister declared.

The meeting also resulted in the elevation of bilateral relations to a strategic partnership focused on digitalization and sustainability. This cooperation is expected to span several advanced fields, including artificial intelligence, 6G telecommunications, and quantum computing.

“This partnership, from AI to 6G telecom, from clean energy to quantum computing, will give momentum and energy to our cooperation in many high-tech areas,” Mr. Modi affirmed.

The Prime Minister further noted that the proposed India-EU free trade agreement would serve as a vital catalyst for economic growth. He maintained that the agreement is set to strengthen investment and technological exchange between the two countries.
