Chandigarh/Panipat, March 6: The Haryana State Commission for Women has issued a formal summons to rapper Aditya Pratik Singh Sisodia, popularly known as Badshah, regarding his recently released Haryanvi track “Tateeree.” The intervention follows allegations that the song’s lyrics employ indecent language and objectify women and minors.

Commission Chairperson Renu Bhatia declared that the panel took suo motu cognizance of the issue after the track, released around March 1, sparked public concern. The official document, issued on March 6, directs the Superintendent of Police in Panipat to ensure the presence of all involved parties at a hearing scheduled for March 13 at the DC Office in Panipat.

The formal complaint was initiated by Savita Arya, president of the Nari Tu Narayani Utthan Samiti, and Shiv Kumar of the Shiv Aarti India Foundation. The complainants asserted that the vocabulary used in the song crosses cultural boundaries and violates the modesty of women.

Bhatia, who previously served on the Film Censor Board, stated her concern regarding the regulatory approval process for the track. She affirmed that the commission will thoroughly examine the allegations during the upcoming proceedings. Authorities maintained that the hearing is necessary to address the impact of such content on social standards.
