Ludhiana, March 9: Two students from CT University, Yash Kadian and Surender Singh, have been chosen to represent India at the 6th Acropolis International Wushu Open Tournament in Athens, Greece. The selection follows their performances in national-level circuits and marks a significant milestone for the university’s athletic program.
The upcoming championship in the Greek capital is recognized as a major fixture in the international Wushu calendar, drawing top martial arts practitioners from around the world. University officials stated that the participation of these athletes provides a global platform to showcase the institution’s sporting standards.
“CT University has always encouraged students to pursue excellence in both academics and sports,” Pro Chancellor Dr. Manbir Singh stated. He affirmed that the selection of Kadian and Singh reflects a consistent commitment to nurturing talent through professional training facilities.
The university’s sports department noted that the duo’s advancement to the international stage is the result of disciplined training and rigorous preparation. Gurdeep Singh, Head of the Sports Department, asserted that the institution continues to focus on identifying and grooming athletes for high-level competition by providing necessary infrastructure.
“Their consistent hard work, discipline, and determination have led them to this significant milestone,” Gurdeep Singh maintained. He further declared his confidence that the players would represent the country with distinction during the competition in Athens.
