New Delhi, May 19: Haryana’s Public Works and Public Health Engineering Minister Ranbir Gangwa met with Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari in New Delhi on Tuesday to advance several major transit projects.
The high-level meeting, held at the Union Minister’s residence, focused on expanding modern transport facilities and improving connectivity across the state. A government spokesperson stated that the discussions centered on structural enhancements for national highways passing through Haryana, with an emphasis on constructing strategically placed overbridges and underpasses.
During the session, the leaders finalized plans for several upcoming national highway projects designed to better connect rural and urban centers. Gangwa maintained that the collaborative infrastructure push will directly benefit local businesses and ease daily commuting hazards for residents.
“A strong road and transport network forms the foundation of a state’s economic and social development,” Gangwa stated. “Improved connectivity not only helps increase trade and commerce but also provides greater convenience to the public in daily commuting.”
The state minister added that the Union Government’s ongoing focus on highway expansion has significantly accelerated development works across the region. He asserted that the central ministry’s approach to implementing wide-scale expressway networks serves as a powerful motivator for state-level public representatives and engineering officials working to upgrade regional infrastructure.
