Chandigarh, August 8: Deputy Commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav carried out surprise field inspections across multiple polling stations in the Union Territory to evaluate the operational readiness of the two-day Special Camps for Electoral Services.
The special drive, organized under the Special Intensive Revision schedule, allows citizens to inspect the draft electoral rolls, register claims, and submit necessary documentation.
During the visits, Yadav reviewed operational facilities and interacted directly with designated Booth Level Officers stationed at the sites. He instructed field officials to actively guide visiting citizens to ensure smooth processing of registration forms and correction requests.
“All eligible young residents who reach eighteen years of age on or before the qualifying date must utilize these local camps to secure their voter enrolment,” Yadav maintained while appealing to the public.
Administration officials confirmed that the special camps will remain open through the weekend to facilitate widespread citizen participation ahead of the fast-approaching claims deadline.
