Chandigarh: Aam Aadmi Party Punjab Chief Spokesperson Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal launched a strong attack on the BJP leadership following their visit to Toor Banjara village, stating that staging political demonstrations over the death of Gulzar Singh demonstrates an opportunistic mindset. Addresssing the media, Dhaliwal affirmed that opposition parties are seeking political gains rather than focusing on constructive agendas for the state.
Dhaliwal stated that local residents confronted the BJP delegation, showing them black flags and preventing their entry into the village. He asserted that the public response delivered a clear signal against transforming personal grief into political rhetoric.
Outlining the state’s intervention, the AAP MLA declared that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s government took swift legal and financial steps to support the victim’s family. He noted that law enforcement agencies immediately registered a case, arrested the accused, provided monetary assistance, and ensured a government job for a family member.
Dhaliwal maintained that the current administration remains firm in its enforcement against illegal activities and drug networks. He concluded that the electorate will continue to reject attempts to derail governance through sensational political posturing.
