NEW DELHI: Several prominent schools across Delhi, including Air Force Bal Bharati School, Carmel Convent School, Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, and The British School, received bomb-threat emails on Tuesday morning, triggering security sweeps across affected premises. Official sources affirmed that following searches by specialized units, the threats were declared a hoax.

Police representatives stated that the emails, sent around 10:17 am with subject lines predicting afternoon explosions, were written in Punjabi. The messages warned of timed blasts across educational campuses, public transit systems, and major legal centers, including Tis Hazari, Karkardooma, and Patiala House courts.

Bomb Detection and Disposal Squads, canine units, and emergency services conducted inspections of classrooms, corridors, and common areas. Local law enforcement teams secured outer perimeters while technical cells began analyzing digital headers to determine potential links to previous hoax threat campaigns targeting capital institutions.
