Chandigarh, 16 January 2025: The Punjab government has introduced a new initiative to combat drug addiction, unveiling a dedicated helpline number 9779-100-200 and a WhatsApp chatbot as part of its ‘Nasha Mukt Punjab’ campaign.
This helpline aims to spread awareness, provide support, and empower people to address drug-related concerns. “This initiative is a significant step toward eradicating drug addiction from Punjab,” a state official remarked.
Through the platform, citizens can report drug-related issues, seek assistance, and access information about treatment options. Designed with privacy in mind, the service ensures users can share their problems confidentially.
Residents can utilize the platform by sending a WhatsApp message or directly calling the helpline. Officials stated, “This resource will play a vital role in amplifying the fight against drugs and creating awareness across the state.”
The initiative reflects the Punjab government’s commitment to building a healthier, drug-free society.
