Narnual, April 25:  Haryana State Pollution Control Board has redirected approximately 225 kg of single-use plastic waste from Narnaul to a waste-to-energy facility in Murthal. Officials stated that the collected material will undergo scientific disposal and be utilized to generate electricity, turning a major pollutant into a resource.

The waste was gathered during a targeted enforcement campaign designed to curb the proliferation of banned plastic items in the region. Regional Officer Vijay Chaudhary affirmed that the department’s central objective is the complete elimination of plastic pollution throughout Mahendragarh. He noted that the board is committed to maintaining strict oversight to ensure the ban is effectively implemented.

“The department’s primary goal is to eliminate plastic pollution from the entire region,” Chaudhary declared. He stated that the campaign successfully combined enforcement with a practical solution for waste management, ensuring the plastic does not end up in landfills or local water bodies.

The Regional Officer also maintained that public participation is essential for long-term success. He asserted that while board teams are consistently conducting inspections and taking action against violators, the battle against pollution cannot be won without the proactive cooperation of local residents in their daily lives.
