MANSA, June 9 — The National Investigation Agency on Tuesday executed a search operation at a residence in Kulana village under the Budhlada subdivision in connection with an investigation into cross-border security linkages. The early morning raid targeted the house of a local youth identified as Yadvinder Singh, who is being investigated over his purported communication channels with Pakistan-based gangster-turned-terrorist Shahzad Bhatti.
The security operation marks the third time the federal counter-terrorism agency has searched Singh’s premises to uncover specific information regarding his operational ties. According to family members present during the inspection, the agency officials systematically checked the property and scrutinized financial files before departing without making any seizures of physical property.
The central agency is seeking to verify whether the recorded contact indicates involvement in broader logistics modules. Commenting on the continuous federal scrutiny, Yadvinder Singh stated:
“During the previous raids, they took away my mobile phones. This time they only searched the house and asked me to appear at the NIA office in Chandigarh on Monday.”
The youth, who has completed up to Class 10, is currently facing separate local legal proceedings registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. Investigators focused on verifying specific communication lists, call logs, and network details stored on mobile devices used within the household.
The targeted cross-border figure, Shahzad Bhatti, has been previously listed by central intelligence as an active proxy operator executing high-profile strikes and recruiting operatives via social media platforms. Following the conclusion of the local inspection, federal officers directed Singh to report directly to the regional office in Chandigarh on June 15 for further interrogation.
