Chandigarh, 29 November 2024 – The Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) is scheduled for December 1, 2024, with Paper 1 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM and Paper 2 from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM.

To ensure a smooth examination process, authorities have imposed a ban on public gatherings within a 100-meter radius of examination centers across various districts of Punjab.

Rupnagar’s Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain issued the order under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Defense Code, stressing that the ban will help maintain order during the exam. The restriction does not apply to teachers, staff, or students present at the designated exam centers.

In addition, the District Education Officer (S) Dimple Madan has enforced a holiday ban for all teachers and staff from November 28 to December 1, 2024.

The directive applies to all forms of leave, except for medical emergencies. School heads have been instructed to ensure that teachers and staff are informed of their duties during the examination period.

Any absence without valid reasons will be taken seriously.
